Vermont Electric Cooperative is working with Green Mountain Power on a wind project in Northern Vermont.  Green Mountain Power will pay to have windmills installed on a ridge line in Lowell, VT.  The project is call Kingdom Community Wind and will give the state an independent Renewable Energy source for the future.

As a commitment to 100% independent, renewable energy with the use of its Cars for Climate program, REDONA will sponsor wind projects of their own.  These wind projects will be located in other parts of Vermont Electric Cooperative territory and other parts of the Nations Rural Cooperative territory.
